NHL Power Rankings for Nov. 2

TSN.ca ranks the Capitals #13:

The leading sniper for the Caps this year? Danius Zubrus, who is elevating his game to the first-line status he holds, with nine goals in 13 games.
Key Injuries: None.

ESPN.com ranks the Capitals #19:
The Capitals are 2-1 in the last week and they just missed beating Atlanta. Washington could be even better if Alexander Semin would just break out of his slump (he has no goals in six games after a great start).

SI.com ranks the Capitals #19:
When you need to snap a losing streak, who better to count on than Alex Ovechkin? The 21-year-old ended a four-game goal-less drought with two of the Caps' four first-period goals in a 5-3 win over the Flyers that snapped a 16-game winless streak in Philly. The win came one day after the Caps lost in regulation for the first time after scoring first. They had been 3-0-2 when taking a 1-0 lead.
Last Week: 2-1-0

Average Ranking: #17

The JET's Ranks the Capitals at #12:
The Caps are getting a bad rep for their "weak" team. Many people are quick to believe that the Capitals success will die down. I'm not sure that it will. What the Caps did against Ottawa makes them legit. It is important to know that these ranking were before Sunday's win.
